Product Features

  • Lightweight and easy to work with: Easy to transport, cut, and install; suitable for a variety of interior design styles.

  • Smooth surface: After the seams and substrate have been prepared, you can proceed with the installation of finishes such as paint and wallpaper.

  • Easy to Install: Suitable for dry construction; easy to install in combination with light-gauge steel studs and related materials.

  • Possesses a certain level of fire resistance: The crystalline water in the gypsum core is released when heated, which slows down heat transfer; the fire resistance performance of the complete structure is subject to the results of systematic testing.

  • Flexible Integration with Companion Apps: When combined appropriately with furring strips, insulation, and other materials, it can meet the soundproofing and decorative needs of various spaces.

Main Types and Uses

TypeMain Uses
Standard Paper-Faced Gypsum BoardSuitable for ceilings, partition walls, and wall finishes in general indoor spaces with dry conditions
Water-Resistant Paper-Faced Gypsum BoardSuitable for indoor areas with moderate moisture resistance requirements; select the product based on its specific scope of application.
Fire-Resistant Gypsum Board with Paper FacingSuitable for ceiling and partition wall systems with fire-resistant design requirements; must be installed according to the specified construction details.

Selection Guidelines

When selecting gypsum board, consider the intended application, board thickness, and moisture- and fire-resistance requirements. Check the surface flatness, the integrity of the edges and corners, and the adhesion of the face paper. Water-resistant gypsum board is not the same as waterproof board; areas subject to prolonged exposure to water or direct water contact should use panels and waterproof construction methods that meet design requirements. During installation, ensure proper fastening, joint treatment, and edge finishing to minimize issues such as cracking.
